Leb i Sol

Leb i Sol is not only one of North Macedonia’s most iconic bands but also one of the most celebrated groups in the former Yugoslavia. They combine rock, jazz, and traditional Macedonian folk music elements. As the band evolved, jazz influences became less dominant. However, during concerts, the group performed jazz compositions and extended versions of traditional ethno-folk classics such as “Jovano Jovanke” or “Aber Dojde Donke” which were often met with great enthusiasm and excitement. Following their disbandment in 1995, the members pursued successful solo careers. The band reunited in 2006 to mark their 30th anniversary. V. Stefanovski later left the group, and the remaining members recorded an album with a new lineup: Bodan Arsovski, on bass, Nikola – Koki Dimuševski, on keyboards, Srđan Dunkić on drums and Dimitar Božikov on guitar as Stefanovski’s replacement.
