When singer Gino Srđan Jevđević left war-torn Sarajevo and settled in Seattle in the mid-1990s, he brought with him two essential things: his immense vocal and songwriting talent, and an unrelenting ambition to create. Little did he know that after founding Kultur Shock in 1996, he would not only become the soul of one of the most influential bands of the past few decades, but also the de facto godfather of the movement now known as gypsy punk. Kultur Shock have been active for nearly 30 years, with over 1,000 performances to their name, including appearances at some of the most significant festivals around the globe.
