“CONCERT FOR PEACE Zetra, July 28, 1991, SARAJEVO”

Photography exhibition

The Concert for Peace was held on July 29, 1991, in the packed Zetra, organized by the Yutel TV channel… According to some sources, there were about 30,000 attendees inside the hall and another fifty thousand outside… Many bands performed at the concert, mainly from Sarajevo with guests such as EKV, Bajaga, and Rade Šerbedžija… Performances included Merlin, Crvena jabuka, Plavi orkestar, Brega with Haris Džinović and Čola, Nele, Indexi, Hari Mara Hari, Regina, and finally, all together with the organizers sang the “Yutel Peace Anthem”. There were other special guests like Abdulah Sidran, Hasan Fazlić, Rudari, Muharem Serbezovski, Vajta, Zerina, Jevđa… As usual, Milomir spent the whole day capturing the atmosphere in the city and slowly made his way to Zetra with the crowd… The city was covered in peace posters, and groups enthusiastically walked around with flags and banners for peace… It all seemed quite innocent and naive while, at the same time, in another part of the country, there was shooting and dying. Ten months later, on May 25, Zetra burned down, along with all our hopes for peace…
